Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actress as well as a television host. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her show business career as a child. The actress was in lead roles in dramas on television as young as the age of 16. After the critically-acclaimed performance in the show Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. Downfall won an Oscar and won critical acclaim. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated features featuring women. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable projects in both the US and abroad. This includes those of the British biographical Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time as well as French Historical Miniseries Napoleon. Furthermore, she was a member of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
